Paneleous Bisporus

Bisporus mushroom is another highly active mushroom that grows in nature in well-manured soil or lawns. This species does not grow directly out of the dung, but rather in dung enriched soils on farms or pastures. As well this mushroom has been documented growing in lawns well-fertilized with cattle manure. The fruit bodies grow solitary to widely scattered or in groups on or near dung in pastures. It has been reported in Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Texas, Australia, India, Mexico, Bolivia, the Philippines, Thailand, France, and Brazil, and is probably more widely distributed. Also found in parts of Oregon such as Astoria, Tillamook, Lincoln City.  Discovered in Central West Africa, Hawaii, Florida, Mexico, and some South American countries. As well as in Switzerland.
