Golden Blue Vuitton — formerly Octopus

Some strains are created.
Some are discovered.
And some somehow become part of your life.

This one began as Golden Blue Vuitton, and for a long time I called this expression Octopus. But after everything that happened along the way, Octopus didn’t feel like the right name anymore.
So this is Bogu Experience.

I have spent years of my life working with mycology. Building things, destroying them, rebuilding them, travelling across the world, meeting incredible people, making mistakes, learning from them, losing genetics I thought would be with me forever, and somehow finding a way forward again.

And that’s what this strain represents to me.

Not perfection.The experience.

The beautiful parts. The ridiculous parts. The moments when everything works and the moments when absolutely nothing makes sense. Curiosity strong enough to keep you moving when the sensible thing would probably be to stop.

Because that’s pretty much how I got here.

I originally wanted to name this strain Joe Rogan Experience. I spent countless hours listening to Joe while working, creating, and searching for genetics, and those conversations accompanied a surprisingly large part of this journey.

But eventually I realized that this particular story already had its own name.

Bogu Experience.

It doesn’t promise enlightenment.
It doesn’t promise miracles.

And it definitely doesn’t promise that you’ll understand everything you experience.

That’s kind of the point.

For me, it represents curiosity, freedom, creation, and the willingness to go ridiculously deep into something simply because you love it.

Mycology became one of the great loves of my life. This genetic is a tiny piece of that story.

I nearly lost things I thought could never be replaced. I watched projects fall apart and built them again. And somehow, after all of it, I’m still here creating.
So I hope Bogu Experience stays alive long after me.
